Standstill
Sitting in a couch, stuck in the house
We don't have big balconies.
We live in the cramped streets
We don't have those Instagram picture perfect places
And don't get me started on the feelings end,
Because my head is shouting Screwed Screwed Screwed.
Some say, it going to end, some say the normal is changing
Everybody has an opinion about this pandemic.
People can blame, people can shame but what we need right now is a moment to understand the pain.
There are many who are suffering inside and out. There are many who are homeless, wageless and on their toes, just to run to their native ground.
But no one is at fault, because all are trying.
Nobody wants to cause any harm.
There are people who are not caring for their own lives, working day and night.
They know the pain, they see it, feel it.
But why can't you see their pain. They are meant to save lives and right now all that they can do is just try and try and try, without thinking about the pebbles that were thrown to their own in front of their sight.
They are taking the insults and the abuses. They are not giving up, they are not crying, everyday they are ready to fight with a smile.
Then there are those who are spreading their wings to reach us on time, to deliver our daily lifelines.
There are even those, ready to give in to their duty day and night. Stand on the roads and then too not whine.
There are many who are healing,
And one of those is our mother Earth, the divine.
We never cared for her but she did. She went through all the torture with a smile.
Her tears were unseen and voice always unheard, but today again she has that angelic smile.
We never notice the things in our hustle and today when we can feel again, so many have met after ages online.
Those memories, those moments never realized, but passed too quick without a second to live them right. But today we are again reliving them,
Today we are understanding them,
Today we all are fighting, but yet we are stronger within and outside.
So don't let this go away without living,
heal and love and grow, embrace the change, and it will all be fine.
Tomorrow this will also be just a memory gone by the time even if it is standstill for a while.
